Shadow & Illumination
A Full Moon Eclipse Fire Ceremony with Neda
Join Neda on Tuesday 3 March for a Vedic Fire Ceremony in honor of the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse.
A lunar eclipse is a moment when the Earth's shadow passes across the face of the Moon. Light is not lost — but temporarily obscured. What was bright becomes shadowed, and what has been hidden often rises into awareness. Eclipses are considered potent times for practice — moments when veils thin and transformation accelerates.
The evening will begin with philosophy and storytelling exploring eclipse symbolism through the lens of Kali — goddess of transformation, liberation, and the dissolution of illusion. Kali represents the stripping away of what is false, the courage to face shadow, and the clarity that allows what is real to stand. There will be time for contemplation, guided journaling, and small-group reflection before we move into ritual.
At the heart of the evening is the Vedic Fire Ceremony — an ancient yogic practice in which offerings are made into sacred flame. Ghee will be offered to the fire along with the invocation of 108 forms of the divine feminine. Participants will be invited to place into the fire symbolic offerings representing what they are ready to release.
The ceremony will conclude with mantra, Aarti (the sharing of light), and time in community.
You are welcome to bring a meaningful object for the altar. Cushions and blankets will be available, though you are encouraged to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable and grounded.
