Introduction to Ashtanga with Dimitra
Learn the fundamentals of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in this two weekend beginners course with Dimitra.
Learn the basics of Ashtanga
In this course you get familiar with the Primary Series of Ashtanga. You will be introduced to the basic technique for breathing (Ujjayi) and movement, learn the importance of the focused gaze (Dristhi) and explore the internal energy locks (bandhas). The course is perfect for beginners.
Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series is a set sequence that will bring your attention inwards and will invite you to open your body and mind to the essence of yoga.
The course will take place over two weekends:
1st weekend: Intro to Ashtanga, Foundations of the practice (Tristhana), Surya A & B, and standing sequence
2nd weekend: sittings positions (till navasana), and closing sequence
This course will be for beginners, but everyone seeking inspiration and better understanding of the Primary Series should feel welcome to join.
In the classes Dimitra will hold space for everyone to experience, explore through these dynamic somatic movements, to inquire though the breath, to reflect and observe.

About Dimitra in her own words:
I've been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 2015. My gratitude for this journey, my teachers and yogic friends could not fit into words.
I see yoga as a path for uncovering what is subtle, what is layering under and is hidden from the conscious self, what was always there defining who we are, how we feel for ourselves and the world, the patterns of our conditioned thinking.
A way for approaching our authentic self.
