MAGNUS GÖRANSSON

Magnus started his yoga journey in 2013 to reconnect to his body and breath. He now considers himself forever a student of yoga. Magnus completed his first yoga teacher training at Yoga Shala in Reykjavík, and has since added hatha yoga with Klara Kalkusova, and therapeutic yoga with Klara Kalkusova and Ingibjörg Stefánsdóttir. He is currently enrolled in a year long teacher training in yoga sangraha and pranayama, with Eddie Stern, Robert Moses and Harshvardhan Jhaveri.

"In my work as a plant biologist working with nature conservation, I find that the modern world is in many ways disconnected from nature. Yoga is a toolbox to bring back the connection, first to our own selves, and thereby also to other human and non-human beings that we share our path with."

Magnus takes bits and pieces from all his training into his classes. The foundation is classical hatha yoga with a focus on poses and counterposes to bring balance and connection on a deep level. He is also using the approach of yoga sangraha with a breath-led practice of yoga sequences that gently guide the nervous system toward balance, connecting you back to yourself and your life.
